The great giant of social networks Facebook is currently exploring the possibility of introducing, with parental control and supervision, new options – Instagram for kids. That would allow children to safely use the photo-sharing platform. Instagram for kids will be intended for children under 13 years of age.

Instagram for kids

Instagram currently does not allow people under the age of 13 to create an account on this platform.

Why Instagram for Kids?

In the age of social networks, children are increasingly begging their parents and asking if they can join various applications like TikTok, Facebook, Snapchat to keep up with their friends.

Of course, nothing prevents those under the age of 13 from lying about their age when registering on Instagram. With the new platform, there will be no need for this and children will be able to use the app, with the supervision of their parents.

Also, if a person sends a large number of friendship requests or messages to people under the age of 18, they will be sanctioned.

Instagram for kids

Instagram for kids is a way Facebook wants to attract young people and distract them from the competition (TikTok, Snapchat). This version of Instagram is still in development and for now, the exact date when it will be available is unknown.
